President, Zindagi Trust and Popular pop singer, Shehzad Roy was recently honored with a Special Award at the Pakistan Radio Excellence Awards on 11th February, held at the Jinnah Convention Center in Islamabad.

Gracing the occasion, Prime Minister Mr. Shaukat Aziz, who was also the Chief Guest at the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation's National Excellence Award 2006, bestowed the honor of the ‘Best Pop Singer from 2002-2006' on Shehzad in lieu of his immense contribution towards the Pakistani pop culture, both locally and abroad.

Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (Radio Pakistan) National Awards is an important event and are held after every five years. Its primary aim is to recognize the services of all those involved with it both directly and indirectly and at the same time, highlighting the salient features of this medium.

Mr. Ali Azmat was also awarded the PBC National Special Award 2006.He has always been an ardent supporter of Zindagi Trust and has extended his support to the Trust on numerous occasions.

Besides Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, various other ministers and senior officials present, gave away prizes on different categories to the winners.
