Zindagi Trust organized a walk-a-thon for its students followed by a beach cleaning exercise on Sunday May' 06 2007. Starting from the intersection of Khybana-e-Bahria & Seaview to Beach Park, covering approximately 1.5 km. The group of 1023 Children, 59 Teachers, staff, donors and media personnel participated enthusiastically. Cupola Pakistan, KFC was the main sponsors of the whole event, while Mobile zone was the co-sponsor of the event.

The city Nazim Mr. Mustafa Kamal graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and walked along Zindagi Trust's President, Mr. Shehzad Roy, Chairman Board of Trustees, Lt.Gen ® Munir Hafiez and Trustee Mr. Noman Nabi. A number of well-known celebrities like Saeed Anwer, Humayoon Saeed, Mahnoor Baloch, Rahim Shah, Faisal Quershi & Anoushay also walked with the students to support Zindagi Trust in this proactive exercise.

The event titled “Zindagi walks… Clean environment for growing minds” aimed at teaching our students the importance of clean and healthy environment. Mr. Kamal acknowledging Zindagi Trust's efforts, commented, “Every one of us is an equal and important part of our society. Hence, we should all try to preserve God-given natural beauty and endevour to be more enviromental consious”. Continuing his remarks, he praised ZT's efforts for taking this leap and prayed that they continue to work with the same zeal and determination.

Refreshment were served after the walk which was followed by a beach cleaning activity by the students of Zindagi Trust. President, Zindagi Trust, Mr. Shehzad Roy and Chairman Board of Trustess, Lt.Gen ® Munir Hafiez accompained the students. Students were very enthusiastic and they cleaned the beach with full commitment and devotion.

After beach cleaning, lunch was served-courtesy KFC- to the participants who were then later entertained with various activities and entertainment programs presented by Zindagi Trust students. Awards were distributed to the students of Banaras & Manzoor colony schools. The event was concluded with a concert by famous singers, Shehzad Roy & Rahim Shah. Happy children returned to their homes after a fun filled day.
