More
than 100 students from Zindagi Trust Mehmoodabad
& Manzoor colony campus participated in
a free benefit musical concert and clown show
for handicapped and underprivileged children
at Karachi Parsi Institute's ground on 12 th
March 2008 organized by Family Educational Services
Foundation; a non-profit, educational, volunteer
organization. 4,000+ children from over 60 different
institutions and schools in and around Metropolitan
Karachi attended. These children also included
deaf, physically and mentally handicapped and
orphans. The show was sponsored by Walls Ice
cream. More than 100 students from different
Colleges & Universities gave voluntary services
in the wonderful event.
The
main objective of the program was to provide
a fun and memorable opportunity to 4,000 disadvantaged
children, teachers and caregivers; ultimately
providing them encouragement, hope, motivation
and increased self-esteem. The show was hosted
by famous duo Mani & Anoushey. HeartBeat
performed live with their traditional dancing
and clown show ultimately provided children
with plenty of entertainment.
Zindagi
Trust's President, Shehzad Roy performed live
at the event as the children started dancing
on his melodious songs. Saleem Javed also rocked
the show with his famous song “Jugni” and entertained
the children.
At the
end, refreshments were served which included
Ice cream, drinks and snacks for all the children.
Each child then received a goody bag with educational
material and assorted gifts. |
