25 ZINDAGI STUDENTS GRADUATE WITH EDUCATION MINISTER AND BEAUTY QUEEN APPLAUDING
 
   
 
 

On 28 June, Zindagi Trust, the NGO at the forefront of educating the underprivileged children celebrated another milestone when 25 of its ‘I-am-paid-to-learn’ students graduated at a convocation held in their honour at the Islamabad Club.  

The event started with the recitation from the Holy Quran, followed the inaugural speech by Shehzad Roy, President Zindagi Trust. Shehzad who highlighted the salient features of Zindagi’s activities. Lt. Gen (R) Javed Ashraf Kazi, Federal Minister for Education, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while the Special Guest for the evening was Ms. Hammasa Kohistani, the reigning ‘Ms. England’ who had specially flown in from London lend support to Zindagi Trust in its cause.

Lt. Gen Ashraf Kazi lauded the activities and achievements of Zindagi and remarked, “Zindagi Trust has truly done a remarkable job in the short period of its inception. We really need more dedicated organizations of Zindagi’s caliber if we want to eliminate the menace of illiteracy from Pakistan”. I consider this an honour to be able to share with these children their joy at this momentous occasion of their young lives, he continued.
