On June 30th 2006, the President of Pakistan, General Pervez Musharraf, conferred Shehzad Roy, President Zindagi Trust with SITAR-E-EISAAR in recognition of the Trust’s relief efforts and services in the rehabilitation of the October 8, 2005 Earthquake hit areas.

Before bestowing the heroes with the awards, President Musharraf spoke about the relentless efforts of the Trusts and Foundations (such as Zindagi Trust) operating in the country during the time the Earthquake struck Pakistan, commending the ways everyone stood united and supported each other for one mutual cause – helping those affected by the monstrous catastrophe.

In the year 2004, Shehzad Roy was awarded a Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (social services) due to his relentless work for the underprivileged children’s education with Zindagi Trust’s ‘I-am-paid-to-learn’ program.
