August 1947 marks the independence of Pakistan. The day
is celebrated every year with great fervor, enthusiasm and
zeal reminding us the hardships our leaders faced to give
us a free land – a home named Pakistan.
Zindagi
Trust students in the North region also celebrated the day
with great passion. Individual functions were held to pay
tribute to the historical event at eight Zindagi schools
in Rawalpindi and the adjoining areas on 14th August 2006.
The events featured enthusiastic participation of Zindagi
students to deliver heart-capturing speeches, present on
tableaus and humor skits and sing patriotic songs and the
National Anthem. To create a feeing of healthy competition,
various activities were conducted where our teachers teamed
up with the students and competed with the opposing teams
in the shape of games and recreational activities.
The
event concluded with a speech delivered by the Headmistresses
of the respective schools, followed, subsequently by the
prize distribution ceremony to acknowledge the hard work
put in by the students as well as teachers who won games
and competitions.
