Two Zindagi Trust schools opened back to back in Karachi in the last week of October. One school opened in Qasba Colony and the other one in Junejo Colony on 30th and 31st October 2006 respectively. The ceremonies commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by a brief introduction of Zindagi Trust operations in Pakistan by Ms.Zeenat Khan, Regional Coordinator.

The Chief Guests for the school openings were Mr.Akmal, a social worker at Qasba Colony. For the Junejo Colony Campus, Mr.Haji Mehmood Ali Sheikh, a social worker, did the honors of inaugurating the campus. Also present during the openings were the Zindagi Trust South Regional Team along with the representatives from the community. All guests praised Zindagi Trusts efforts in trying to curb the menace of illiteracy and giving hope to the under privileged working children of Pakistan.

After the ceremony chocolates and cold drinks were served to the guests and the students of the school.
