Tajwar Hashmi – ACA
CFO & Director Operations

Syed Tajwar Hashmi leads Zindagi Trust’s finance and operations. In his role he oversees the organisations revenue growth, human resources, facility management and procurement, compliance and risk management functions to ensure the highest level of fiscal accountability and transparency at the Trust. Prior to joining Zindagi Trust, Tajwar has 15 years of demonstrated history of working in the sectors of International Trade, Hospitality and Tourism, Education, and Retail in Middle East and Pakistan with the ability to streamline business operations that drive growth and increase efficiency. Tajwar began his career in the assurance group of A.F.Ferguson & Co. (PwC) as an auditor of Manufacturing, FMCGs, NGOs, Asset Management and Banking companies. Tajwar is a Chartered Accountant and is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.

Dr. Aamna Pasha
Chief Academic Officer

Dr. Aamna Pasha is the Chief Academic Officer of Zindagi Trust where she is responsible for the academic oversight of two of the largest government schools adopted under a public private partnership. In her role Dr. Aamna helps to set strategic direction for Zindagi Trusts academic programmes and partnerships. Dr. Aamna completed her PhD from the Institute of Education, University College London (UCL), England. Her research interests include global education, global citizenship, and global skills from the context of the global south. Dr. Aamna completed her Masters of Arts from the same institution in Development Education and her Bachelors degree from the University Of Waterloo, Canada where she majored in Psychology and Business Management. With over 10 years of experience in the field of education, Dr. Aamna has worked extensively in the areas on skill and competency development, use of technology in education, community based approaches to improving the quality of teaching and learning and on teacher professional development. Dr. Aamna has previously held leadership roles at Durbeen, Aga Khan Foundation and the Aga Khan University Examination Board.

Faiq Ahmed
Senior Marketing & Resource Development Manager

Faiq oversees Zindagi Trust’s resource development, communications and marketing department, playing a key role in developing and achieving Zindagi Trust’s strategic marketing plan, resource development and brand objectives to further strengthen brand recognition and organization’s mission on a global scale. Before joining Zindagi Trust, Faiq has an experience of over 8 years of working in the advertising industry with Pakistan’s biggest FMCG Brands and currently teaches as a visiting faculty at Iqra University & Ziauddin College of Media Sciences. He also holds various Digital Media certifications from Google (Blue & Green Belt), Meta, HubSpot, Coursera & UNSW Sydney.

Shehzad Roy
Founder & President
Shehzad Roy is a singer and the Founder and President of Zindagi Trust. In 2005, he received the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for his sociopolitical music and his contribution to the field of education reform. He has also received the Sitara-e-Eisaar for his contribution to the relief efforts for earthquake in Kashmir. In 2013, the National Assembly recognized his efforts and passed a law criminalising corporal punishment. In 2018, he received the Sitara-e-Imtiaz for his work in education reform through advocacy, especially for his work on integration of Child Protection into the provincial curricular of Sindh. In 2021 the Sindh Government approved a new teacher performance evaluation format developed by his organisation Zindagi trust for government teachers across the province. He is also the Goodwill Ambassador for United Nation Population and Family Planning (UNFP).
Noman Ahmed Nabi
Numan leads one of the largest communications groups in Pakistan and he is the CEO of The Brand Partnership Private Limited. He is also the Board of Trustee at Organization for Social Development Initiatives and is one of the founding members of Friends of Cardiac Surgery. Being a staunch advocate of quality education, he has been actively supporting the efforts of Zindagi in reforming public schools across Pakistan.
Nazim Fida Hussain Haji
Nazim is a co-Chairman of The Cancer Foundation and a Director of the Sahil Welfare Association as well as the Vice President of the Limbless Foundation Pakistan. He serves on the governing body of Infaq Foundation, the Centre for Development of Social Services and is Trustee of Aitemaad Pakistan Trust. Nazim was also one of founding members of the Citizens – Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) and he was awarded Sitar-e-Shujaat in 1993 for his efforts as the Chief of CPLC.
Khalid Mahmood
In addition to serving on the board of Zindagi Trust, Khalid is the managing director and CEO of Getz Pharma (Pvt) Limited. From 2013 to 2015, He has also contributed his services as the former president of The World Wide Fund for Nature – Pakistan (WWF-P). He was recently awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the President of Pakistan for his contribution to improve the health and economic well-being of Pakistan.
