Job Summary

The IT Support & Systems Officer is responsible for providing technical support to end users, maintaining IT infrastructure, managing IT assets, administering user accounts, and supporting the organization's network and server environment. The role ensures the smooth operation of IT systems, timely resolution of technical issues, and compliance with organizational IT policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day technical support for hardware, software, desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, IP phones, and network-related issues.

  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.

  • Diagnose and resolve Windows OS, application, email, and network connectivity issues.

  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure IT equipment remains operational.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and other network devices.

  • Assist in administering Windows Server, Active Directory, Domain Controller, File Sharing Server, and pfSense firewall.

  • Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Teams.

  • Manage user permissions, access rights, password resets, and license assignments.

  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventory, including issuance, transfers, repairs, warranties, and disposals.

  • Coordinate secure data wiping and device disposal while maintaining proper records.

  • Maintain IT documentation, inventory records, network documentation, and support logs.

  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and warranty claims.

  • Support IT projects, system upgrades, and technology deployments.

  • Provide basic IT guidance and training to users.

  • Perform other IT-related duties as assigned by the IT Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 2–4 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network administration.

  • Hands-on experience with Windows OS, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and basic network administration.

  • Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and network connectivity issues.

  • Knowledge of IT asset management and user account administration.

  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA A+, or CCNA) will be an added advantage.
